Gheus - Siddha - Thicker Rice Varieties
SKU Code - R0012
Gheus is a salinity-tolerant wetland variety, possibly native to the South 24 Parganas and well-known in the Sundarbans regions. The rice is planted during the monsoons and harvested in winter. It is rather tasteful, and most consumers who have tasted it once would choose it any day over common hybrid varieties like Mini Kit. It is well-known in its muri (puffed rice) form.
This rice is produced following nature-oriented farming practices, which means without using toxic pesticides or inorganic chemical fertilizers. All our farmers are trained in nature-oriented farming and use solely traditional seed varieties and resources that nature provides to improve the quality of the product.
